OnTrac International Celebrates 20 Years

Posted on Sep 23, 2016 11:44:08 AM

On April 8th, 2016 OnTrac International celebrated a major milestone of 20 years as a strong and successful business.

OnTrac International began as Express Messenger International on April 8th, 1996, as one of three divisions under Express Messenger, Inc. located in New Brighton, Minnesota. EMI quickly established itself as a dependable and reliable international distributor of mail to more than 240 countries worldwide.

The division was started by Blaine Fyksen. On that first day of April 8th, there were only four employees. Within six months the Portland office was opened. Today, there are 17 employees all with an impressive length of service. The newest on staff having been with the company for three years.

On the 20th Anniversary the group celebrated by taking time to share a meal with both current and now retired employees, laughed over memories and enjoyed cake.

The future looks bright for OnTrac International. They have continued to grow throughout the years with outstanding shipping results. Last year, the division distributed over 58 million packages!

The team is consistently improving efficiencies to stay competitive, maintain strong client relationships, build up their sales team, and discover growth opportunities where OnTrac already has the infrastructure.

Congratulations on all of your successes OnTrac International!

The OnTrac “Show Us Your Wheels” Video Contest Recap

Posted on Sep 20, 2016 11:49:05 AM

OnTrac recently ran the “Show Us Your Wheels” video contest in celebration of our customer spotlight of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC. The promotion began on August 16, 2016 and just wrapped a few days ago on September 10, 2016. Participants were asked to share a 10 to 60 second video of themselves in action on an off-road ATV, dirt bike, UTV, ADV/Dual Sport, or motorcycle. We received several submissions and selected a winner based on fan votes.

Our winner, Candi, shared a great video on Instagram of her 4-year-old son Xavier, smiling ear to ear, with his grandfather, Keith, riding a quad during their time together. Candi says her son fell in love with quads last August when he was visiting his grandfather in Michigan. Her dad, Xavier’s grandfather, is a retired deputy sheriff from California, and moved back to his home state of Michigan to enjoy the outdoors and his favorite pastime of four-wheeling through the woods.

We loved their video and know you will too! Take a look at the winning video by clicking on the image below:

Our winner received the $100 gift card grand prize to Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.

Congratulations Candi and family, thank you for showing us your wheels!

Guest Blog Post: Yoga for Hope

Posted on Aug 30, 2016 10:34:55 AM

Today’s blog post is written by OnTrac guest blogger Corporate Account Manager Nina Hegyi. Nina joins us to share her story about Yoga for Hope, which took place Saturday, August 13th, 2016 at Petco Park in San Diego, California. OnTrac participated this year with a donation to the City of Hope. To read about past Yoga for Hope events, please click here for 2015, and here and here for 2014.

It fills me with both elation and amazement that August 13th was my sixth Anniversary participating in Yoga for Hope and supporting the wonderful work that is done at the City of Hope.

My passion for finding a cure for cancer and supporting the efforts of treatment comes from losing my mother to leukemia when I was young. The seed of volunteering was planted by my father. Shortly after we lost her, my father got my brothers and I involved in volunteering to empower us. It has now become a legacy to both my parents. It also fills my heart with joy that my son, Derek, shares this passion and that the legacy my father started is continuing with him. Unfortunately, I am not alone. There are still way too many children who have grown up without their moms, dads, and loved ones because they lost their battle to cancer. My personal battle continues.

As long as there is a cause that will help to cure cancer you can count on me to help. I’m happy beyond words that my OnTrac family has also been there with me supporting this battle. It started about 17 years ago when OnTrac, known as California Overnight back then, embraced what I was doing in San Diego with the American Cancer Society (ACS) Daffodil Days. For three consecutive years during the month of March, so many people at OnTrac were donating their time to deliver daffodils, which freed up the good people at ACS in order for them to generate more donations, and generate donations we did. I was honored by the ACS in San Diego for what I started. During their introduction, they said that our help generated over $500,000 statewide.

20160813_103054_resized.jpgI was asked to join the Women's Council for the City of Hope in San Diego 10 years ago. In addition, I was also part of the group who started Yoga for Hope six years ago. Now, Yoga for Hope is a major fundraiser for the City of Hope and has grown to include three other cities. I, along with many others, look forward to the day there is a cure. With the work being done at the City of Hope that day is hopefully coming soon. However, we are not there yet. That is why once again, and following in the five years prior, I was part of Yoga for Hope San Diego. My OnTrac family was there to count on for support once again so that the City of Hope can continue to conduct more research, provide more treatments and encourage more people to go from hopeless to hopeful. To ensure the success of all the wonderful work done by the City of Hope, you can still donate here.

The one lesson I have learned from volunteering is that you don't have to be a big donor to make a difference. Small donations add up to make many differences. Those differences add up to many new treatments and advancements to finding a cure so that children don't have to know what it is like to grow up without a Mom. Until that day comes, the legacy to my parents will continue and I know that my OnTrac family will be right there to help!

OnTrac Makes Sweet Deliveries Today for National Donut Day

Posted on Jun 3, 2016 3:11:18 PM

As we tie up the week we’re not only celebrating it being Friday, but we are also celebrating National Donut Day by delivering donuts to randomly selected customers. OnTrac coordinated delicious deliveries to be sent in each of our service areas: California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Colorado and Idaho. Some of the customers who received a surprise delivery included The Honest Company, Isagenix, Amway, Byram Healthcare, Tire Rack, Benco Dental, Bootworld and many others.

National Donut Day started in 1938 and was created by The Salvation Army to fund the organization’s social causes. This day honors the Salvation Army “Lassies” of WWI. They were the organization’s volunteers who were sent to Europe during this time to hand out these delicious fried morsels to boost troops morale and to provide a link to home and family.

OnTrac created a social media campaign to go along with National Donut Day; capturing all donut deliveries sent to customers and sharing the photos to our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram. We created the hashtag #OnTracDelivery to go along with the popular hashtag #NationalDonutDay so our social media followers can stay updated on the sweet deliveries made throughout our service region.
