OnTrac will be exhibiting at the 2013 Parcel Forum, held at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago, October 7-9.
The Parcel Forum has provided parcel shipping, logistics and distribution/warehousing professionals with an all-encompassing environment that helps them ship more packages, more frequently and more cost-effectively for ten years.
During the last two decades, the parcel delivery industry has been the fastest-growing transportation segment in the United States, accounting for at least 10 percent of each day's gross domestic product. In the last year alone, more than eight billion packages were shipped worldwide, delivered by more than 3,800 different carriers.
This year, OnTrac will be showcasing its faster, more affordable Ground delivery in the Regional Carrier Pavilion while its Director of Business Development, Mark Magill, and Director of Integration Compliance, Danielle Couch, will be presenting on how “Technology Eases the Transition to Using Regional Carriers.”
“In today’s transportation landscape, technology is a vital factor in determining whether a delivery company can meet their customer’s needs,” Magill said.
Magill and Couch will discuss the latest handheld scanner technology that provides shipment visibility and instant proof of delivery information, streamlined package processing through proprietary and third-party shipping software options as well as the robust material handling systems that regional carriers have added to augment their capacity during peak shipping seasons.
“We are excited to be presenting on this topic and to show attendees how regional parcel carriers have upgraded their level of technology so that switching from the national carriers will be a seamless transition for large shippers,” he said.
Their session will take place Wednesday, October 9th 12:40-1:30 PM. Attendees can also stop by the OnTrac booth, #213, and enter to win a Kindle Fire HD!
