OnTrac joins the 10th annual 102.5 KNIX Million Can Crusade kickoff event with a check for a $1,500 donation to St. Vincent de Paul, which is equivalent to 15,000 cans of food. The Million Can Crusade, in its tenth year, has received support from OnTrac for seven consecutive years since 2011. The goal for 2017, as it has been every year, is to collect one million cans of non-perishable food for St. Vincent de Paul to feed hungry families during the holiday season.

OnTrac Million Can Crusade Check Presentation (1) lo res.png

In previous years, OnTrac has contributed to the one million canned food goal by creating a friendly competition among employees at the corporate office in Chandler, Arizona. This year, OnTrac is expanding the competition to include the two Valley facilities in Phoenix. If at least 5,000 cans are collected by OnTrac, the employees will be rewarded with an office celebration for all three Valley locations. The department with the most cans collected will receive the Golden Can Award. Last year, the corporate office alone collected 6,323 cans of food plus a monetary donation of $1,500, which equaled over 20,000 cans of food in total. With the help of the Phoenix facilities, OnTrac hopes that not only will they meet their goal, but also that KNIX and St. Vincent de Paul will meet their goal too. The community plays a big part in helping KNIX and St. Vincent de Paul reach their goal. There are multiple locations set up that KNIX will be stationed at to collect donations. Click here for a list of all locations.

OnTrac Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Laura Peterson says, “November is a very exciting time for the OnTrac corporate office because we look forward to being a part of the Million Can Crusade every year. By adding all Valley employees this year, we are hoping to surpass the OnTrac donation of 6,323 cans of food from last year. Joining forces allows us to make a bigger impact and it is such a special thing to be able to help less families go hungry during the holidays.”

In addition to the donation to St. Vincent de Paul, OnTrac is a proud supporter of giving back to the communities where employees live and serve. Since 2014, OnTrac has given monetary donations of $79,124 to a variety of charities within their eight-state footprint. mcc1.jpg

OnTrac is ready to support the 9th annual 102.5 KNIX Ben & Matt’s Million Can Crusade for another great year. The main objective is to help St. Vincent de Paul collect cans of non-perishable food to feed hungry families for the 2016 holiday season. Posted on Oct 22, 2015 6:00:00 AM

OnTrac participated at the first annual Relay For Life of Downtown Phoenix event on Saturday, October 17, 2015. This is the first year that OnTrac participated as a Gold sponsor donating $1,500 to the American Cancer Society. The event took place at the Civic Space Center and included 150 participants walking to end cancer.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is the world’s largest fundraising event and most impactful by bringing communities around the world together for a common cause. The event symbolizes a celebration of life for those who have battled cancer, remembering loved ones lost, and taking action to finish the fight. Each Relay for Life event includes an opening ceremony, a lap for survivors, a lap for caregivers, a luminaria ceremony and a closing ceremony. OnTrac Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing Laura Peterson said, “On behalf of OnTrac, we are very thankful for Relay For Life of Downtown Phoenix for bringing the community together and putting on a special event. It’s great that OnTrac was able to participate this year and help to fight for a cure.”

The event was very successful with additional support from individuals who were unable to attend and a total of over $10,000 in fundraising to find a cure. Relay For Life Community Manager Cristine Frietze said, “It’s a wonderful thing to see support from corporate sponsors, such as OnTrac, as well as community volunteers to help get this event off the ground. Our hard work paid off.” Relay For Life of Downtown Phoenix is still accepting donations. Please follow this link for more information and to make a contribution: relayforlife.org/downtownphoenixaz
