OnTrac, a logistics company serving the Western United States, is a proud supporter of empowering its employees to give back to the communities in which they live and work. Recently, OnTrac held its annual internal clothing drive. Employees gathered clothes to be donated to Clothes Cabin a local non-profit who provides free clothing to people in need. Together, OnTrac employees donated almost 600 articles of clothing!

Just one of the life changing stories from Clothes Cabin was from a local Chandler citizen in need a job, who said, “I’ve been unemployed for seven months and there was no one else, who could help with clothes” OnTrac and its employees recognize the unique opportunity they have and are excited to use it to give back to those in need. Through Clothes Cabin, OnTrac’s donations have the ability to provide individuals within their service area the clothing they need to secure employment and to maintain a healthy and hygienic life style.

OnTrac is announcing their partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) for the third year in a row. Since 2016, OnTrac has teamed up with ACS to host a Relay For Life event at the corporate office in Chandler, Arizona. Within the past two years, this event has raised over $10,000 in donations that help fund cancer research, education, prevention efforts as well as free information and services for cancer patients. OnTrac is excited to join ACS in their mission to “save lives, celebrate life, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.” The event is taking place on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 10am to 2pm at 2501 South Price Road, Chandler, AZ 85286 and is open to the community.

The OnTrac Relay For Life event starts at 10am with a leading lap celebration for cancer survivors and caretakers. The walking path is the exterior of the Continuum Business Park and is approximately one mile long. A picnic style lunch of hamburgers and hotdogs will be served for each participant. Expect a day filled with camaraderie along with celebrating survivors and honoring loved ones lost.

“We are so thankful for OnTrac and their corporate citizenship for joining the mission of the American Cancer Society,” says American Cancer Society Executive Director Ashley DeGooyer. “Their support and generosity goes beyond the ACS organization. It also touches those who are currently battling cancer, may face a diagnosis in the future and those who may avoid a diagnosis thanks to education, prevention, and early detection.”

As a team, OnTrac is hoping to pass the amount of miles that were walked in previous years, which were 356 miles in 2017 and 377 miles in 2016. Based on the amount of miles or laps walked, OnTrac will make a donation to the American Cancer Society. If you would like to help OnTrac surpass their goal by joining in the walk or by making a monetary donation, please email OnTrac Public Relations Manager Katrina Fox at kfox@ontrac.com.

OnTrac Employees Deliver Hope by Volunteerism and Backpack Drive in 2017

Posted on Oct 6, 2017 3:39:27 PM

OnTrac delivered hope to multiple causes and non-profit organizations in 2017 by donating time and school supplies. Through a facility-lead volunteer program, employees were able to participate at community giveback programs including Feed My Starving Children, Relay For Life, San Diego Coastkeeper and Surfrider Beach Clean, Bakersfield Animal Shelter, and Northwest Harvest, in addition to other programs in the OnTrac eight state service region. More recently, clothing and household items were donated to the victims of the multiple hurricanes through the Salvation Army. Over 300 volunteer hours were donated by OnTrac employees.

During the summer months, employees donated school supplies and packed backpacks for students throughout school districts in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Washington. 1,000 backpacks were delivered in total to 34 school districts and charities, and several “get to know you” postcards were sent back to OnTrac filled out by the students who received them. The school districts who received these backpacks were chosen based on their proximity to the local OnTrac facility within their city.
