OnTrac has witnessed significant growth in Northern Nevada. The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) recognized this positive change created by OnTrac in Northern Nevada and honored the company at the annual New and Expanded Companies Event.

The event took place on December 7, 2017 at the Peppermill Resort, Spa and Casino. A total of 29 companies including OnTrac were recognized at the event along with over 400 business and community guests in attendance. EDAWN Executive Vice President of Business Development Stan Thomas and City of Reno Bill Thomas presented an award on stage to OnTrac Chief Financial Officer Thomas Fischer and OnTrac Corporate Account Manager Erin Metscher.

EDAWN CEO and President Mike Kazmierski says, “2017 has been an exciting year of growth and positive change in the Greater Reno-Sparks area and most certainly for OnTrac. EDAWN’s annual event is all about new and expanded companies in our region this year. We are very excited to honor them at the celebration this year and look forward to seeing their company growth.”

Quality Bicycle Products Expanding With OnTrac

Posted on Oct 21, 2015 6:00:00 AM

Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) announced that they are expanding into the Western United States with a distribution center in the Reno, NV area. QBP is a bicycle company whose goal is making the world a better place through the power of cycling. For over 30 years, they have been building and distributing products from world-class vendors in the industry to over 5,000 bike shops.

QBP currently has three distribution centers in the Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Utah. The Reno distribution center is estimated to be open by December 2015 and will be their fourth facility. OnTrac will be handling most of the next-day ground services out of their Reno facility and servicing California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. For Arizona, Oregon and Washington, these dealers should expect to receive overnight ground shipping by mid-January.

"We're very excited to be partnering with OnTrac to provide our Western dealers with overnight ground service," said Kim Brown, QBP's director of distribution. "We chose OnTrac because of its one-day service area and because they can save our customers money when shipping larger, bulkier items like bikes, car racks or helmets."

The 75,000 square-foot warehouse strategies will be based on the order frequency in the Western region. As time progresses, the diversity of products will expand based on sales trends. QBP’s products from in-house brands will be among the first SKUs to fill the warehouse, such as Lazer, Quality Wheels and Surly.

"Offering an expanded level of service to our western U.S. dealers is a huge step forward in our ongoing commitment to serving the local bike shop," said QBP's president, Rich Tauer.  On-site sales and a customer service team will also occupy the Reno facility.

OnTrac Opens Facility in Henderson, NV

Posted on Oct 20, 2015 6:00:00 AM

OnTrac is moving its Las Vegas facility to Henderson, Nevada. The new Henderson facility triples the size of the former Las Vegas facility, increasing from 42,000 square feet to 130,000 square feet.  The additional square feet are required due to the company’s growth in the Southern Nevada market.

The new facility will have a material handling system that will provide greater warehouse and delivery efficiencies. In addition, the Henderson facility has six unload and 14 load dock doors that will allow additional truck loads to move more efficiently in and out of the facility. The former Las Vegas facility only had four dock doors total. Las Vegas General Manager Shawn Rush said, “It’s a very exciting time to be at OnTrac. The facility move to Henderson will allow for service improvements and efficiencies while creating a better work environment for all employees. Plus the growth in Nevada alone will allow for OnTrac to expand upon our services while providing employment opportunities for the Henderson community.”

OnTrac may be hiring new employees to fill the facility. Currently at the Las Vegas facility there are 63 employees, while dispatching 61 service providers. The facility is located at 551 Courier Street, Henderson, Nevada 89011.

OnTrac is excited for the growth potential and the ability to get involved with the Henderson community. A member of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, OnTrac looks forward to supporting local business as well. Henderson Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Scott Muelrath said, “With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, OnTrac is a welcome addition to the Southern Nevada business community for competitive pricing and proven delivery service.  Welcome to Henderson OnTrac!”
