OnTrac opened the doors to its 130,000-square-foot facility at Courier Street in Henderson during the fall of 2015. A regional expansion of the company’s operations, the move tripled the size of OnTrac’s operations. The Henderson expansion alone resulted in the addition of more than 60 jobs, and the company now employs approximately 99 people.

Although this incredible project didn’t take the title this year, the reward of a nomination was a great success. OnTrac will continue to strive for greatness with innovative ideas and consistent growth.

OnTrac_Employee Spotlight

For this week’s employee spotlight, we are pleased to introduce Leon Shaw Jr. 2015 marks his 27th year with OnTrac. In 1988, Leon started working as a Same-Day Messenger Driver in the Los Angeles region as one of the first drivers for the company. The main requirements of his job would be to run linehauls to Kettleman City, San Diego and the LAX Airport. Vice President of Risk Assessment Mark Cronkrite said, “Wherever he was needed he did the job, no questions asked. He worked a lot of hours for a long time, and his dedication to the company helped build this business.”

Leon is an influential part of OnTrac history and helped shape the company to what it is today. In 1997, Leon retired from his driving career to pursue a sorting position at the Commerce Facility in California. This year marks his 18th year sorting at OnTrac. Commerce General Manager Dennis Crosby said, “He’s a dedicated employee who would do anything to protect the success of the company.” When Leon isn’t sorting, you might catch him following up on his favorite basketball team. He’s a big Los Angeles Lakers fan. Thank you Leon for your commitment, dedication and service! We’re happy to have you a part of the OnTrac team.
